Consecutive interpretation is usually the preferred option when there is a smaller group of people (business meetings, meetings with lawyers or with a notary public etc.). The consecutive interpreter will reproduce the translation into the target language while the speaker is pausing.
How is consecutive interpreting arranged?
If you require consecutive interpreting, the relevant details must first be given to the translator so that they can create a quote. The translator will require the following details:
- Time and place where consecutive interpretation is required
- Source and target languages
- The length of time the consecutive interpretation will be required

If your business partners are not fluent in Croatian, it is necessary to have a court interpreter present during court and administrative proceedings, at a notary public’s office, at meetings with lawyers and at negotiations. etc. If the consecutive interpreting is taking place in the presence of a notary public or in court, the consecutive interpreter must also be a certified court interpreter.
